IQ is looking for a versatile and experienced software engineer who is interested in developing and supporting software applications in PowerBuilder 8.

 

Requirements:

Minimum five years of experience in systems analysis and programming, addressing unique issues of architecture and data management

Significant experience with analysis, technical definition, data modeling and programming

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organization and communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a group on multiple project assignments

Complete understanding of the full lifecycle of software development

Capable of utilizing a variety of languages and technologies in a consulting environment

Expertise with relational databases (Oracle 10g, SQL Server, MySQL)

Knowledge of T-SQL

 

Responsibilities:

Apply standard structures and practices to produce effective applications centering around configurability and reusability

Conduct application and database tuning including code optimizations, indexing, partitioning/sub-partitioning, etc.

Develop program objects using PL/SQL, T-SQL, C, Shell scripting (Unix & Linux)

Provide back-up DBA services

Develop unit test data and unit test plans

Prepare documentation including functional & technical specifications, user guides, installation guides, etc.
