2009 Toys for Tots Drive – THANK YOU!!!

IQ recently partnered with Gateway High School to collect toys and donations for the Marines Toys for Tots Foundation! Throughout the months of November and December, IQ employees, with the help of local businesses and the Murrysville chapter of Women’s Business Network collected over 50 items which will be provided to economically disadvantaged children in Allegheny County during the Christmas season. Thank you to all of those who donated, you have helped make a child’s Christmas brighter this holiday season!

.NET Micro Framework Goes Open Source

Last week Microsoft announced that the .NET Micro Framewwork verison 4.0 would be released as open source… along with some new framework features. This move means that the Framework will continue to evolve organically through the development community and offer third parties the opportunity to repackage the framework. It will be interesting to see how this decision effects embedded .NET application development.

IQ’s Toys for Tots Drive Starts This Week!

Toys for Tots 2009
We would like to invite all IQ Inc. employees, clients, friends and family to participate in the 2009 Toys for Tots Drive. We are asking that you sponsor a child for the holidays by purchasing a gift of $20 or more.
Tags with the names and ages of children have been placed on a tree at the IQ office. We invite you to pick a tag from the tree and make that child’s holiday special. You may also email Khershberger@gatewayk12.org with a tag request which will be sent via Chad Hershberger.
All purchased gifts must be returned to the IQ office by December 11th 2009. Gifts must be placed inside a gift bag, unwrapped (no tissue or wrapping paper please) with the child’s name attached.
Please consider participating in the 2009 Toys for Tots Drive and help us make this a special holiday for all children! Thank you in advance for making this event a success!

2009 Mixers with Shakers!

Thank you to all those who donated to IQ’s charity of choice for the 2009 Mixers with Shakers event – Three Rivers Adaptive Sports (TRAS) the local chapter of Disable Sports USA (http://www.traspa.org/Welcome.html)! With your help IQ Inc. was able to raise over $1,200 for TRAS!
TRAS provides recreation for young and old with various disabilities. A member of the IQ team has a family member born with Cerebral Palsy. Over the past 19 years, TRAS has provided services that has allowed him to become a very accomplished Alpine Skier and even own his own Bi-Ski. He has also been afforded the opportunity to ski with members of the US Disabled Olympic Ski Team.
Thank you for making this event a success!
